Personal Trainer

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Existence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Calvin Coolidge

Resistance Training
The health advantages of resistance training are many. These benefits include, but are not limited to reduction of body fat, lower cholesterol levels, lower resting blood pressure, prevention of muscle atrophy and weakness, improved posture, development of more lean body tissue, strengthening of skeletal muscles, stress reduction, improved metabolism (burn more calories even at rest), and better physical appearance through muscle toning and definition.

Diet/Nutrition Plan
You cannot separate nutrition and exercise. It is a partnership you make for the rest of your life. A healthy, nutritionally balanced eating plan will give you more energy during your workouts, which leads to better results. Properly controlled caloric intake will decrease your body fat and allow you to supply your growing muscles with the nutrients they need. I can help you.

Monitoring your progress
People become motivated by progress. Progress charting is essential in personal training. With each client I will do the following:
  • Help in setting long and short term realistic, reachable goals with clients.
  • Perform initial fitness testing to form a baseline from which to work.
  • Take body measurements. These are re-evaluated every 6 - 8 weeks.
  • Re-evaluate specific muscular areas with which to adjust workouts if needed.
  • Provide constant feedback throughout workouts.
As you see your progress occur on paper, your self-esteem and confidence grows.

Rates and Availability

You can reserve a time between 8am and 8 pm, Monday thru Saturday. (Sorry, I reserve my Sundays for worship and family.) Our training sessions can be held at a gym, at your residential fitness facility, at your home, at work or even outdoors. You can train as often as you like with me or as little as once every 6 to 8 weeks just to keep you on track by revising your workouts. Perhaps you need to get started on a program, change out your existing routine, get beyond a never-ending plateau, do some sport-specific training, get stronger following an injury, increase your flexibility, strengthen your abdominal muscles and lower back, or maybe you would like to become a better, more efficient athlete. Whatever your fitness goals, my tailor made workout plans can take you to a higher level of fitness.
